Rett Devil is the pen name of Kassiane Poore (born November 17, 1982), a blogger and internet activist from Montana within the autism rights movement. Ms. Poore has Rett syndrome, a pervasive developmental disorder along the autism spectrum however with several characteristics distinct from those of autism (see Rett syndrome article for more information). Ms. Poore is also a national public speaker and coauthor of Ask And Tell: Self-Advocacy and Disclosure For Persons on the Autism Spectrum. In addition to her blogging activities Ms. Poore has received attention for being an accomplished, award-winning gymnast and gymnastics coach despite problems from epilepsy, dyspraxia, and hypotonia.
The Rett Devil site is maintained by an anonymous webmaster operating under the alias Spockette.
Ms. Poore was born Kassiane Sibley in Peoria, Illinois. However, she was adopted as an adult as a means to resolve certain family issues.
