Retractable roof

A retractable roof is a technology used in many sports venues. They are used in places that allow for indoor sports when the weather is rainy. Examples of these venues are SkyDome in Canada and SAFECO Field in Seattle. Future stadiums include Lucas Oil Stadium and a new stadium for the Dallas Cowboys.

Miller Park has a fan style roof because it's shaped like a fan. Lucas Oil Stadium will be a tent style roof stadium. Toyota Stadium in Japan has a unique accordian like roof. These a just a few of the many type of roofs used to build these stadiums.
