[edit] Synopsis
John is grabbed by Oo-Ni, the mysterious amphibious creature, and John mentions that he knows where the third probe is, angering Oo-Ni, who has brought John to Sikozu and D'Argo. With better senses of smell than John, they realize Grayza put him under the influence of heppel oil, which is produced by an implanted gland that certain concubines use. They tell John they have an escape plan but can't tell him what the plan is because he will likely be forced to tell Grayza under her interrogation. D'Argo tongues John and Oo-Ni puts John safely on the beach, to be found by the PKs and taken back to Grayza, who interrogates and rapes him some more. Resisting, he insults her, so she takes him out and forces him to dig a grave, then gives him a pulse pistol and orders him to kill Scorpius. He declines, so Braca shoots Scorpius for him, and Scorpius falls into the grave. Sikozu, who previously approached the PKs and told them she could deliver the other Moyans to them, is also thrown into the hole, where she meets Scorpius and is immediately drawn to him after he gives her information that saves her life.
John is then taken back to Grayza's room and interrogated and raped some more, but he manages to escape by using the lakka bug to make him insensate for a short while. The escape plan is then carried out, with Elack having kindly agreed to commit suicide by crashing down onto the PK's Marauders, giving the others time to escape. Unfortunately, there is a problem with their transportation, Lo'la, and meanwhile the magnetics are reaching a fatal level. There is a tale that if the three probes are placed correctly, the magnetics problem will reverse, and also the priests of 12,000 years ago will return. They end up fighting Oo-Ni for the probes, as he has secretly been working to get them, and they manage to set them up just in time. They are saved, the priests reappear, Jool decides to stay behind on the planet with the priests, teaching them about the current galaxy, and everyone else is able to safely leave, including Grayza and Braca. Grayza vows revenge for this humiliation--John had left her naked and tied up in bondage gear. The Moyans travel to reunite with Moya.
