The theory developed on this page (i.e., that free trade reduces international conflicts, because it reduces the need for countries to fight for resources) is interesting... but it's just a theory! It may be true in some cases, such as the implicit example given (Japan); but it's likely to be completely wrong in others (just to name a few: Africa in general; oil access in the middle east).

I believe that this page is in strong need of more justification; or, if it is kept as a theory, it should be documented as such (with reference if possible)
