A few years back I read an article that claimed that calls to 999 declined as a result of Australians getting the emergency number mixed up because of the show. Can anyone in Australia confirm this? I wanted to add this tidbit to the article, but I am not sure. - Hoshie 05:34, 2 August 2005 (UTC)


Read the post by user "kaleb777" on this page. It would seem that viewers were made well aware of the difference in numbers at the end of the show. While I'm sure some people still tried 911 out of confusion, it certainly wouldn't have resulted in any significant decline in 999 calls. JeffyP 20:56, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

The Emergency Number in Australia is 000 not 999 thats britains emergency number Mike Beckham 17:15, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
