Resolutions is the 41st episode of Star Trek: Voyager, the 25th episode of the second season.
Janeway and Chakotay both contract a deadly virus, and they are forced to remain on a planet where the environment will keep the disease from killing them. Janeway orders Voyager to continue its journey to the Alpha Quadrant, with Tuvok as its new captain. She and Chakotay prepare to spend the rest of their lives alone together on the planet.
Tuvok, in command of Voyager, decides to disobey Janeway's orders and contact the Vidiians, who probably have a cure for the disease. Janeway had forbidden contact with this race, as they were always willing to murder to accomplish their grisly goals. Specifically, Tuvok pursues Denara Pel whom the Doctor had saved previously and had actually gone on a holo-date with.
