Reservoir fracturing is a procedure used in the oil industry in which a geological formation is deliberately fractured by exposing it to high pressure pressure fluid pumped down from the surface. The objective is to create very high permeability channels through which hydrocarbons can easily flow into the well bore and on to the surface.
