Rescue (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rescue was an indie band from Detroit, Michigan who formed in 2000 and were on the Slowdance Records label until there demise. They released three albums: "Even People and Not the Odds," "Volume Plus Volume," and "Paranoid," as well as one EP, called "Flamingo Minutes". "Even People and Not the Odds" and "Volume Plus Volume" are now out of print individually, but are available together as "Volume Plus Volume Plus" released on Forge Again Records, which also includes original and demo versions of several songs, as well as a remix of the song "Like Spaceships." "Paranoid" is currently available as a limited edition, hand numbered (out of 800) version released on Suburban Sprawl Music. The band played it's final show on April 28 at The Magic Stick in Detroit, MI, due to lead vocalist Alan Scheurman deciding to quit the band and focus on school, specifically Wayne State University.
