Wikipedia talk:Requests for comment/GRider

Just in case anyone thinks this Rfc is frivolous: of course it is. However I don't see another way to convince GRider to find a more productive way to limit the number of Tolkien articles in the Wikipedia. Jordi· 23:52, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Note - this comment in GRiderspeak: Is the Tolkien cull central to this RfC? Perhaps it should be more about the manner of the nominations? Should we consider that a number of individuals have asked it to behave properly on VfD? Or that this behaviour has continued? Should the issue of changing someone's signature come into play? What about the improper use of {{vprotect}}? Discuss. Chris 00:06, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] "Don't be a dick"??!?

Anyone listing Don't be a dick as a policy someone allegedly violated is totally ignoring the concept of civility and other major rules of trying to get along with people here. I'm shocked that that's even listed as a guideline, as it's completely pointless, useless and unhelpful. I don't know enough about the issue to comment on the RfC itself, but this accusation is clearly out of line as far as I'm concerned. DreamGuy 00:49, Mar 19, 2005 (UTC)

Copy-pasted from the wrong list. Thx. As you may have noticed I really don't want to put time in this RFC, the fact it is apparently necessary is a shame. Jordi· 00:55, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)
