[edit] NICE commentary from User: McNeight
- YES--this is a direct quote---shocking!!
If you can't or won't interact with people in a normal manner (hint: take a look at meta:Don't be a dick and Wikipedia:Civility for some tips on human-human interaction), then get the fuck out. McNeight 00:18, 27 January 2006 (UTC) SIGNED! Because I'm not a bitter and petty authority-wannabe attention-freak coward.
[edit] 14 December 2005
I have just seen MORE of McNeight's attacks against me---and I feel that I should just quit visiting Wikipedia at all. PLEASE cease and desist from sending me any more new messages; I won't respond if nobody posts anything about me. Now that is a great deal for everybody---what do you say?? Actually---don't say anything and I will just disappear. No comments, no sock puppets, no hassles; you just stop posting anything to this page and you will NEVER hear from me again. The fact the McNeight has taken SO much time to vadalize my posts and then write up pages of complaints is rather frieghtening to me. I don't want or need to be harassed in this fashion. braaad 14:59, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
SO---when he called me a -loud mouthed bully- that wasn't a personal attack??? Braaad 15:06, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
So--now we will see-----if I never see-- YOU HAVE NEW MESSAGES when I go to Wikipedia then I will NEVER post anything EVER again..... Can you all leave me alone to suffer in silence---or will you kick me when I'm down??? 68.112.201.90 15:20, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
- It should be noted that the above comment, and other like it have been posted on numerous pages throughout Wikipedia, all seemingly dated December 14, 2005. OnceBitten 23:03, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] RE: Reversions
My only interaction with this subject was regarding a possible sockpuppet, 68.112.201.90 who showed up during RC patrol as blanking sections of Talk:Civil Air Patrol and\or it's subpages. As this was an anon account and a talk page, I did not place any {{test}} or other messages on their talk pages. As of today I have put possible sockpuppet tags on this IP and Braaad's pages. xaosflux Talk/CVU 03:43, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
- Have you noticed that your sock puppet warnings on the user pages have been reverted to blank? McNeight 00:19, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
- Have you noticed the hilarious parody I made of the sock puppet warning? I also have CLEARLY embraced the FACT that I have two accounts---of course there is NO poloicy that prohibits that!! Braaad 14:54, 21 December 2005 (UTC) aka 68.112.201.90
Use of sock puppets is discouraged in most cases; Jimbo Wales has said, "There's no specific policy against it, but it's generally considered uncool unless you have a good reason."
- What's your good reason? Grant 08:19, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
It doesn't say that I need one.....does it? 68.112.201.90 08:34, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
- No, it does not say you need one, however the quote does say that it is generally considered uncool unless you have a good reason. And we are finding it uncool. Grant 18:19, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
Well--Grant--I am not going to anyone elses page--except this one to respond to your continued commentary--and I have linked the pages as per the Wikipedia info concerning multiple pages. So--I'm thinking that I don't really care what any of you think. Will you follow the letter of the law or bully me into living up to your standards? I mean I'm willing to offend Fonzie and BE uncool!! But--that isn't AGAINST any POLICY that I have seen. Or is this like the -sign your posts- thing that you all allowed McNeight to force down my throat? I am NOT violating ANY policy of Wikipedia. Please refrain from harassing me to comply to the whims of a few individuals who CLEARLY now bear a serious, personal grudge against me. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:No_personal_attacks 23:45, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
- Please do not accuse me of harassing you, I am not and it is insulting and libelous. Clearly I have not always agreed with the positions you take, but I have always treated you with respect. Please show me the same courtesy. Grant 21:39, 19 December 2005 (UTC)
Hey--NO problem--you're right. I'm just overly sensitive because of McNeight's CLEARLY outrageous behavior. I am not violoating ANY policies so I have nothing to fear. I apologize if I offended you. Maybe you can get others to leaved me alone?? I am just enjoying the hilarious diatribe that McNeight posted in the -RFC- and I wonder---does it even matter? I certainly don't care if he insults me any more because he obviously has his own problems. He clearly has a vendetta against me and I'm just glad he doesn't know where I live!! So--I can assure you that I won't do anything but defend my own user page against further vandalism. Seasonal Felicitations to you and yours. Braaad 14:39, 21 December 2005 (UTC) aka 68.112.201.90
From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sock_puppet#Multiple_accounts Some users use alternate accounts for security reasons. Because public computers often have password-stealing trojans installed, users put themselves at risk if they log in on public computers using their main accounts. 68.112.201.90 09:01, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Why Braaad Is Wrong. Again.
In spite of his rantings on the RfC page, the rules are not "on his side". Specific policies that Braaad has violated include the following:
- Wikipedia:No personal attacks, which he has since resolved with an apology to Linuxbeak but has not resolved with an apology to me.
- Wikipedia:Civility, which, judging by his continued persecution complex and wild accusations about "obnoxious taglines ... added to MY posts", he has yet to resolve. In fact, if we were to assume bad faith for a moment, it would appear that Braaad is attempting to hide from his past so that the next time he attacks, he will be given the same latitude he was given for this episode.
- Wikipedia:Three-revert rule, which he violated to the point of being blocked on 3 separate occasions, as documented in his block log
- Wikipedia:Sock puppet, an official policy which states, in clear and unambiguous language "Do not use multiple accounts to create the illusion of greater support for an issue, to mislead others, or to circumvent a block; nor ask your friends to create accounts to support you."
- Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not, which includes:
- Wikipedia is not a mirror or a repository of links, images, or media files, as evidenced by his "ownership" of the IP 68.112.201.90.
- Wikipedia is not a free host or webspace provider, as evidenced by the contributions made by both Braaad as well as 68.112.201.90; he is not interested in making useful contributions to anything other than his user pages. Aside from his "contributions" to the great Mitchell vs. Spaatz vs. Eagle Scout debate, his user pages and miscellaneous talk pages, he has changed a total of two pages, of which one change (Crook) has been reverted.
- Wikipedia is not a battleground; judging by his continued attacks on editors who cross his path, he seems firmly against building a useful encyclopedia.
- Wikipedia is not a democracy, by which he seems entitled to express certain views and opinions which are either libelous or just plain wrong.
If Wikipedia is intent on becoming something other than a place for obnoxious know-it-alls to hang around and force feed their opinion to others, then it needs to take complaints such as this seriously. McNeight 02:38, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
I sincerely apologize to you for any and all offenses, real and/or imagined, that I may have committed. I truly appreciate your continued time and the obvious enthusiasm that you have in making Wikipedia a great place to be; a welcoming home for intellectuals around the globe. So, now what happens? Will my pages be deleted? Will you continue to demand the Wikipedia take your complaints seriouosly? I hope they do. You were rude to me first and you just continue to amaze and astound me with your open-minedness and generous attitude toward new-comers. Yes---you are right I was a total jerk and you proved it. I have the perception that you have hounded and practically stalked me from the very start, the evidence must be wrong. I am so happy to have found such a fine man as you to be my conscience. I now am truly a repentant man. I must now rid Wikipedia and the World of such wickedness. Thank you and good bye. 68.112.201.90 aka braaad 16:51, 30 February 2006 (UTC)

So---what will happen to me now?? What do you want Wikipedia to do?? Should they ban me from this wonderous land?? Why do they do nothing even after you have shown all that I have done wrong?? When will you be rid of my perilous presence?? You have take so much of your precious time to point out every little thing you think I've done that has offended you and yet---Wikipedia doesn't delete me from existance!! How can this be?! You are so great and I am so lowly.....how have I been allowed to remain?? http://www.earthstation1.com/pgs/history/dos-I'm_not_a_crook_speech.wav.html Braaad 15:50, 27 December 2005 (UTC) —preceding unsigned comment by 68.112.201.90 (talk • contribs).
Well---Mr. Friendly McNeight---still nothing has been done---now what will you do?? You have spent so much time and energy on your attack----and yet----I am still here doing whatever I want. You have truly shown that while I was slightly wrong---you are a dangerously obsessed person who demanded satifaction and got NONE! I have a NEW user name and I have been all over you like stink on a pig. What a tragedy. You showed truoly rude and obnoxious behavior and actually stopped me from making my planned $100 donation to Wikipedia. How much do you donate?? You started by vandalizing my POSTS so you could 'demand' that I sign them. And, despite the FACT that signing posts is NOT required you and you cronies bullied me into a corner and your vandalism was allowed to stand. How proud of your victory you must be!! You also began the rudeness by calling me a "loud-mouthed bully" and yet NOBODY demanded that you stop. You then, probably, got your buddies at Boeing in Chicago to bully me some more. My favorite was when somebody wrote that they 'accidentally' came upon my comments that exposed your treachery and demanded I remove comments.....I laugh now because I have had another page tearing you a new '6' and NO one has accidentlaly found it.....perhaps you and your soc=puppets have yet to find my new alias.......... Your behavior is quiet common amoungst people with little or no personal happiness in there lives....I pity you and your family. I would SIGN this post but I don't want to so I won't. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arsehole —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Braaad (talk • contribs) 22:02, 25 January 2006 (UTC).
[edit] Why Braaad and T`sitra Yel Darb combined are pathetic.
Just couldn't leave well enough alone, could you. Just had to come back here and brag and push and bluster a bit more, eh? Had to try and taunt me with your "mental superiority", hmm? If you had just shut the fuck up, kept your head down, and actually tried to act like a person instead of a dick, then I really wouldn't have cared. Why are you so wrapped up in what I think? Why are you so obsessed with trying to prove that you are wrong? We even finally have a page, this page, dedicated to just how wrong you are, and you still can't stop talking about how wrong you are. I've given you plenty of rope to hang yourself, and someday the noose will tighten.
The truly pathetic thing about you is that I was more than willing to leave you alone a number of times, so long as you could be a productive member of the Wikipedia society. When originally writing this RfC, an administrator on IRC asked me if I thought what you did merited a permanent ban from Wikipedia. I told him that your recent contributions to Richard Nixon and Crook at the time showed that maybe you were capable of edits that weren't completely self serving. But, again and again, you've demonstrated that the only reason you are here is for yourself.
Is life in Eau Claire, Wisconsin really so dull that you have to chew through the straps at the grin bin and waste time by polishing your... user page? Your largest contributions, as 68.112.201.90, as Braaad and even as T`sitra Yel Darb are still to your own user pages. Somehow you think that Wikipedia is the same as GeoCities and you are entitled to behave as you see fit.
Wikipedia is a community. The focus is not on you or me, but the encyclopedia. Create as many user names as you want, but eventually your "personality" will come through.
So--is this a personal attack?? Braaad
PERSONAL ATTACK
How can this total fool say, "get the fuck out" and call me pathetic and yet----I am called a vandal??
[edit] Another sock puppet?
Considering the new "threat" on my talk page, 81.249.49.111 (talk • contribs) could be added to the list. —Wrathchild (talk) 13:51, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
BTW--that IP address is in Amsterdam---how do you plan to pin that in me?? Braaad 02:58, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] More harrassment
Please note that Braaad (talk • contribs) left another harrassing message on my talk page. —Wrathchild (talk) 17:46, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
