Since the image was removed from the signature, do the 1st two oppositions still count?—G.He(Talk!) 23:05, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, though they may come back and change their votes. NoSeptember talk 23:09, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
- Indeed. If the users don't change it, the opposition will stand. Only the user him(her)self can change his/her position validly, and it is not required that they post again to say that they still oppose regardless. From the practical side: given the rationale for the opposition, it is entirely possible that the only reason why those "oppose" haven't been withdrawn is that the users simply did not see that the change has been made. It happens. Not all users keep checking in on RfAs where they have already voted. At some point, someone might see if fit to contact them on their talk pages to let them know of the situation. Doesn't need to be done now, but nor is it a good idea to wait until it's just two or three hours before this RfA's deadline, since people are not always readily available online.
A note for Swatjester, if you were to decide to do it yourself: you should know that some frown upon candidates that go "fishing for votes", which is how this may be seen by some if you contact the users yourself. Redux 05:15, 22 April 2006 (UTC)- I'll contact them, as a (currently) neutral leaning towards oppose vote, I doubt anyone will think I'm fishing for Swat. JoshuaZ 05:17, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

- Um, I'm a bit late reading this, but I've earlier contacted the two users. I am aware of the "fishing for votes" concern, , so all I wrote was that I'd removed my signature. JoshuaZ, if you think that's a problem, I guess remove my comments? Thanks. ⇒ SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 06:12, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

- Something is wrong with the support vote list. In about 5 edits, the sup total dropped to 41. Does someone know what happened? I can't seem to follow where they get dropped and how. JoshuaZ 14:41, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
