[edit] Merging of self-consciousness and self-awareness

Proposed merge by user:Spencerk was disputed and reverted by user:MetaBubble and user:Ewlyahoocom. Current page for self-consciousness now does not reflect the dominant usage of the term- as indicated by a google test. See discussion at Talk:Self-awareness. Spencerk now seeks a disambiguation page on self-consciousness, to reflect both usages of the term as a comprimise because Ewlyahoocom has reverted attempts to have them co-exist on a merged page.

[edit] Confirmation that all parties are aware of the request:

Article talk pages:Talk:Self-awareness

[edit] Other steps in dispute resolution that have been attempted:

first formal step. several reverted edits

[edit] Issues to be mediated

  • seems that all parties agree that self-consciousness is used in two ways. self-consciousness as in self-esteem, and self-consciousness as in self-awareness. Request that mediator assists in choosing the best way for this to be represented. merged page, seperate pages with dablinks, or disambig page. involved parties cannot reach agreement.

[edit] Decision of the Mediation Committee

Accept: Assuming the other editor listed above is no longer interested in the article, the two parties that have agreed can proceed.
