[edit] Petri Krohn (request for clarification)

Note: This request was created by a sockpuppet of banned user User:Art Dominique. Khoikhoi 07:04, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Essjay, in the sock puppetry case of Petri Krohn,, said that you had "already looked at the IP evidence".

Respectfully, it appears that you misunderstood the concern of the user Huckleberry Hugo ([1]), who pointed out that the user Petri Krohn's sock puppetry connections were checked against wrong set of sock puppet accounts.

The user Huckleberry Hugo tried explaining to you, that the user Petri Krohn account should have been compared against the accounts provided below, instead. These accounts are all from Finland, and they had not been checked as of yet, in contrary to what you said.

Petri Krohn's sucpected sock puppets (all have been active in the Kven, Kvenland and/or related articles):

Huckleberry Hugo also tried telling you that the accounts provided below for the checkuser against Petri Krohn by the user TheQuandry, had all along been suggested to be the sock puppets of the user Illythr, instead - and not those of Petri Krohn (however, also Petri Krohn and Illythr have cooperated in relation to the Continuation War article).

Illythr's suspected sock puppets:

Thus, the user Huckleberry Hugo was trying to ask you to please:

1. Check the user Petri Krohn against the correct set of suspected sock puppet accounts (not the set that was provided by TheQuandry).

2. Check the user Illythr (instead of Petri Krohn) against the accounts provided TheQuandry.

Note: The person who filed this latest request is now indef-blocked as a sock puppet of Art Dominique, so unless he creates a new sock or edits without logging in, he probably won't be able to fulfill the request. TheQuandry 14:59, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ill-formed request by banned user & sock puppets after previous request was closed

Although in the Continuation War article recently the user Petri Krohn began imitating the actions of the other accounts listed here, he might not be part of the sock puppet croup of the user Illythr.

However, for instance the newly added account of Kraak needs to be compared with Petri Krohn's, based on the same aggressive editing, the editing times, the same POV pushing, etc. These and the IP accounts below are suspected for having been used in Petri Krohn's edit warring:

Kraak
62.220.237.57
130.234.75.181
130.234.75.167
130.234.75.183
217.30.179.130

The other accounts are likely those of user Illythr's, including the newly added Jatrius and the IP addresses. Thus, should we produce a checkuser for Illythr separately, or can he be verified in this check ?

The user Illythr is the one that really needs to be checked in this context: He particularly is claimed to be the operator of the bit older account, Whiskey, for which a user page was built on Dec 29, 2006, only after evidence was provided suggesting the account to belong to user Illythr.

The Whiskey account has concentrated only for pushing of Soviet POV to the articles related to the Finnish wars. The accounts of Illythr and Roobit seem to have been established to power support Whiskey, although Illythr is also used for other Russian matters.

The Roobit account aims to behave a bit roughly, as if he would not care about the rules, etc . However, his POV and texts have been continuously reverted to by the Illythr and Whiskey accounts.

In this link, [2] (scroll down), much discriminating information was provided earlier, in regard to the sock puppetry connection between Illythr and Whiskey, and very likely also Roobit.

Notice the bloopers made, which suggest these accounts to belong to the one and same user. Also, note for instance the shared use of the nah term, and other similar wordings, reverts, etc. Note also, that Roobit answers to a question pointed to Illythr.

The user page for Whiskey was launched only after he was suggested to be the same person as user Illythr, not before. Huckleberry Hugo 12:02, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Note: I've already looked at the IP evidence, and it is very unlikely these are the same user; they're all coming from different countries. This is not a case of convincing me to run the IP check; I've already done that, and the result is, unless these guys are flying all over the northern hemisphere or running up international long distance bills, they aren't the same. Essjay (Talk) 14:32, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

OK. Many thanks for your prompt actions. Huckleberry Hugo 19:19, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Petri Krohn

  • Code letter: C

Something very strange is going on over at Continuation War. It is POSSIBLE that these four editors are simply working together in rather suspicious ways, but it's also possible they're mostly socks. They're all been working together to stop people (mostly correctly) from editing the Continuation War article. There is currently a heated debate going on on the talk page of that article. Someone brought up similarities in the way a couple of them behave. For example, Roobit [3] and Illythr [4] have very similar ways of speaking and tend to end their sentences in the same way, with one of these ";-)". Same with Whiskey [5] and Petri Krohn [6]. A couple of them claims to be Finns, yet tend to support a pro Soviet POV on the article. Both Illythr [7] and Whiskey [8] both said they would agree to a checkuser. This might be a bit unorthodox, but if these people ARE socks, then the article they've been guarding probably HAS been vandalized, at least insofar as they're preventing others from editing it. In any case, the potential for power abuse is pretty significant, and a checkuser that clears all of them would help alleviate the other sockpuppeting going on there with Art Dominique/Kven user. TheQuandry 05:17, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Clerk note: Diffs needed • Can you please provide a series of diffs that highlights the pattern of abuse clearly? Cheers, ✎ Peter M Dodge ( Talk to MeNeutrality Project ) 06:58, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Will do this afternoon. TheQuandry 15:56, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
Note pattern of removal of large amounts of information from the same article. Whiskey [9], Illythr [10], Petri Krohn [11] (you have to scroll down to see it). Roobit's contributions to this article have been zero, except he has been extremely vociferous in supporting Petri, Illythr and Whiskey on the talk page, following some of their speaking styles and signatures. The whole thing is suspicious. Some of these text removals were in response to other sockpuppeting, but I think socks on one hand don't justify socks on the other. I hope this helps. TheQuandry 01:37, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
If those edits are too old, the more recent ones can be used (the same content): Illythr [12], Petri Krohn [13] and Whiskey [14]. --Whiskey 02:35, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Unlikely. I believe these are all distinct users. Essjay (Talk) 09:22, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Okay, thank you! This is definitely helpful. TheQuandry 14:48, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
