[edit] Kubura

  • Code letter: F.

I have been tracing for months this internet troll (User:Afrika paprika), and despite the indef block, he constantly keeps editing always returning as an army of anons (please see Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of Afrika paprika and Category:Suspected Wikipedia sockpuppets of Afrika paprika. The community ban he received seems to have no effect on him. The reason for the indefinite block was repeated violations of blocks (whenever he got blocked, he always returned through meat puppetry. Aside from that he conducted repeated personal attacks, incivility and vandalism. Of his Sockpuppet armada I've chosen only the very latest IP address, as per its talk page, it admitted that it's Afrika paprika (in Croatian). Kubura is a much older Wikipedian than Afrika paprika, but at first I got wondered how Afrika paprika's wording seemed almost identical to Kubura's (both constantly use the word "GreaterSerbian propaganda"). Aside from that, after I got deep in a conflict with Afrika paprika (after he was banned), Kubura oddly seemed very frustrated with me and since then, he boycotts me (on 27 December 2006 he deleted all my posts at his talk page and again before on 25th, both times marking them as minor edits and writing in the Edit summary: Irrelevant contents removed). Furthermore, I was before very much amazed how Afrika paprika seemed to know already a lot about me, and that dates far back before he was registered in the first place. Just now, on User talk:89.172.226.252, he (the self-confirmed anonymous sock of Afrika paprika) made another reference to Kubura (whom he never met before nor heard - and he remembered that the two of us were arguing [before he mysteriously started to ignore me after Afrika paprika's ban of course]); but not just to him, to iruka as well, a user with whom I was discussing a very long time ago, and Kubura mysteriously barged into our discussion. He also made a reference to Mir Harven, a very old Wikipedian that's close to Kubura, but Afrika paprika (nor a single of his confirmed sockpuppets) has never ever even heard of him. To get another self-confirmation from him as the above-mentioned IP address, I mentioned a little old argument that Kubura had with Joy over the article Syrmia (there were two articles "Srijem" [[[Croatia]]n Syrmium] and "Srem" [[[Serbia]]n Syrmium]; while they were being merged, Kubura opposed it, claiming that "..the Croats need their own version of the article.."). Interestingly enough, the anon (self-identified as yet another sockpuppet of Afrika paprika, as already mentioned before) responded to me claiming that I bypass the main subject and deal with irrelevant things. Aside from all these things (and most importantly), Kubura seems to have a rather odd, but tiny interest in all the articles Afrika paprika dealt [or better, deals] with, most notably amongst them Pagania (please refer to its history and talk page), sharing the same views and arguments (this might be because he spends most of the time as Afrika paprika, or that he erroneously logged in as Kubura, instead as Afrika paprika, Factanista, Pygmalion, Zrinski, etc.. - perhaps auto-log-on is the reason?). And that's not the only occasion - there are other cases, like with House of Kotromanić (another place where both showed up). And more, on this IP's talk page (I was today discussing with him), he wrote that he is already registered on Wikipedia and mentioned that he has ...several accounts.. but with apparent insinuations that he in fact, has an account already for a long, long time.

Take everything this to granted, I think that there is a very high possibility that Afrika paprika's armada is AFAIC Kubura's army and believe that after my semi-thorough investigation, a Checkuser is needed to put our foot on it and have no more further confuzzlings & mysterious speculations. Note: The next "recruit" from his army is User:89.172.230.208. --PaxEquilibrium 19:24, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

I've been asked to summarize. Certainly. Although there is no direct connection between the "Afrika paprika machinery", there have been hundreds of occasions (and very strong ones) insinuating that Kubura might be the actual sockmaster of this troll army. There is also a strong possibility that it's not Kubura, but all the evidence point this way. Afrika paprika is repeating that which he did at Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Afrika paprika (please see that one), defending himself, just like he did to the up. I do not know about you folks, but I'm having a strong deja vu feeling. :) Plus, this is Afrika paprika (or whatever his name is)'s standard practise; he admits that all those were his sockpuppets, but oddly denies the new sock; Factanista denied that he was Afrika's sock for a long time after its block - but finally admitted in the end. I'm sure that Kubura will be discovered as the sockmaster, and then we'll have yet another user (evidently another sock), who will deny that it's him (and Kubura will deny that he's the perpetrator for a long time... will admit in the end, when a new sock is invented). Checkuser might confirm Kubura as the Mastermind of this invasion.
And as for you, Afrika, all those edits have been chain-linked by an identical edit pattern, and 194... (a static IP) has been proven as your sockpuppet. I repeat, do not understimate us all, thinking we're all idiots... Fool me once, shame on You; fool me twice, shame on you; fool me thrice... shame on me. --PaxEquilibrium 23:21, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
I've just added some more of his latest IP addresses. --PaxEquilibrium 00:03, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Inconclusive. I was unable to get any CheckUser results for Afrika paprika, Pygmalion, Zrinski, Factanista, or Praskaton, as apparently too much time has passed. It is certainly possible that Kubura and the IPs may be related based on a check of those, but the results were too inconclusive to give anything resembling a definitive answer.
