[edit] DogJesterExtra

  • Code letter: F

All users are following the MO of banned user JB196 (talkcontribsblock log) with the main puppet appearing to be DogJesterExtra in that their only existance is to be created then put wrestling related articles up for deletion and to delete references in wrestling related articles. More information and evidence are available at my posting on ANI but importantly several of the accounts first acts after being created themselves was to create more accounts which are as follows:

which in itself is evidence of sockpuppetry. –– Lid(Talk) 20:09, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Clerk note • Can you please provide a link to the community ban they are evading, per code letter F? Cheers, ✎ Peter M Dodge ( Talk to MeNeutrality Project ) 20:11, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
The original case of JB196 that had him indefinately blocked, which was later converted into a community ban after trying the patience of wikipedia can be seen here and here. Successively his sockpuppet BooyakaDell (talkcontribsblock log) was banned after a CheckUser case here which was turned into a second community ban for JB196 here. –– Lid(Talk) 20:17, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
Clerk note • Can you please provide a connection between these socks and the originally banned used? I do not grasp how the evidence provided establishes this connection. Cheers, ✎ Peter M Dodge ( Talk to MeNeutrality Project ) 20:21, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
Since being banned JB196 has taken up the habit of creating sockpuppets and nominating wrestling articles for deletion, more commonly wrestlers not of American origin. This can be read at his listing on Wikipedia:Long term abuse/JB196. These accounts have followed this MO with their only edits being to nominate wrestling articles for deletion, removed references from wrestling articles (specifically wrestling clothesline in this case as seen here, here, and here among others.) as well as to successively create more accounts after being created. –– Lid(Talk) 20:26, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
Notably ZimZamZang (talk contribs) has specifically targetted professional wrestling in Australia which has been a target of JB196 through socks such as CDlatch245 (talk • contribsblock log). –– Lid(Talk) 20:33, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

While I wasn't here DogJesterExtra posted on my talk page "You have an admission (here) that I'm the sockpuppet. :)! 20:46, 27 January 2007 (UTC)" then later removed it after sending messages to admins W.marsh (talk contribs), ChrisO (talk contribs), BryanG (talk contribs), Trialsanderrors (talk contribs) and NawlinWiki (talk contribs) attempting to have some of the AfD's shut down prematurely in a case of admin shopping. –– Lid(Talk) 03:29, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Unnecessary. Seems to me, anyway, that you've got enough proof of sockpuppetry as it is. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 19:10, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
Considering the # of sockpuppets involved with the User:DogJesterExtra RfCU you just declined, is there any chance we can go ahead and make sure there AREN'T any other Socks we've missed, because this is a long term vandal (see JB196's page under WP:LTA), and he has shown no signs of stopping. Thanks for any reconsideration. SirFozzie 06:28, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Shockingly this didn't uncover all of them, going through the logs of some of these users has uncovered some more socks (incomplete, will keep updating):

–– Lid(Talk) 07:39, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Nevermind, it seems Luna Santin (talk contribs) is on the job. –– Lid(Talk) 07:53, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Also these, from user creation logs (as are the others Lid listed):
Luna Santin 07:57, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Should a checkuser be conducted on these accounts to find the socks on this tier? These ones not showing up seems odd and means there could be mny more on their level. Also this CU is still listed as declined, should it be moved to completed or back to outstanding? –– Lid(Talk) 08:25, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Second-tier checkuser searches are a good idea here. I was the principal administrator who investigated his sockpuppetry as User:BooyakaDell. This vandal is conducting a long term and systematic campaign to damage Wikipedia's database. His methods could be applied to any subject so this calls for diligence in shutting the door and keeping it closed. DurovaCharge! 19:06, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Note: None of the additional ones (since my last note) provided any additional underlying IPs. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 19:27, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the clarification. DurovaCharge! 20:32, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
