Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Iloveminun/Evidence

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anyone, whether directly involved or not, may add evidence to this page. Please make a header for your evidence and sign your comments with your name.

When placing evidence here, please be considerate of the arbitrators and be concise. Long, rambling, or stream-of-conciousness rants are not helpful.

As such, it is extremely important that you use the prescribed format. Submitted evidence should include a link to the actual page diff; links to the page itself are not sufficient. For example, to cite the edit by Mennonot to the article Anomalous phenomenon adding a link to Hundredth Monkey use this form: [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Anomalous_phenomenon&diff=5587219&oldid=5584644] [1].

This page is not for general discussion - for that, see talk page.

Please make a section for your evidence and add evidence only in your own section. Please limit your evidence to a maximum 1000 words and 100 diffs, a much shorter, concise presentation is more likely to be effective. Please focus on the issues raised in the complaint and answer and on diffs which illustrate behavior which relates to the issues.

If you disagree with some evidence you see here, please cite the evidence in your own section and provide counter-evidence, or an explanation of why the evidence is misleading. Do not edit within the evidence section of any other user.

Be aware that the Arbitrators may at times rework this page to try to make it more coherent. If you are a participant in the case or a third party, please don't try to refactor the page, let the Arbitrators do it. If you object to evidence which is inserted by other participants or third parties please cite the evidence and voice your objections within your own section of the page. It is especially important to not remove evidence presented by others. If something is put in the wrong place, please leave it for the arbitrators to move.

The Arbitrators may analyze evidence and other assertions at /Workshop. /Workshop provides for comment by parties and others as well as arbitrators. After arriving at proposed principles, findings of fact or remedies voting by Arbitrators takes place at /Proposed decision. Only Arbitrators may edit /Proposed decision.

[edit] Iloveminun evades block by sock puppetry

[edit] Evidence presented by HighwayCello

[edit] First assertion

I guess I'm the one that can tell the other side of this story, the harassment that's just referred to as that, opposed to what it was. ILM didn't like me for goodness knows why, I was wary of him for a while, which led me to think that ILM could be using socks (you know what I mean ;). I caught the sockpuppet, and it has just escalated from there, ILM has tried to tell everyone not to trust me, inform everyone that I shouldn't be an admin or harass me or my friends here in general. (A full collection of harrassment and vandalism can be found at User:HighwayCello/Minun). It is true I have been "following" ILM, but I don't see reverting unintentional damage done to templates can be consider stalking, or even creating a template to help him with a manual job he was doing, as harmful stalking (I would do the same with any other unsteady editor).

ILM has shoved me to the point of breaking down and almost leaving the project on several occassions, even leaving harmful comments about me at the top of his userpage[16] and deleting my "shield", by moving it to his own userspace and speedy tagging it. ILM has badmouthed me both on his talk page,[17] as well as WP:AN, and harassed (shouting at, moaning at or generally annoying with his consistent winging) User:Actown, User:Celestianpower, User:Smurrayinchester and User:A Man In Black. I just want to be left alone, I don't know if I'll ever get back the trust I've lost from some editors because of this ordeal, I don't want to lose any friends. Highway Rainbow Sneakers 21:43, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

  • [18] Left offending note at the top of his user page.
  • [19] "Informing" an "admin" that I should be banned.
  • [20] More harassment.
  • [21] ILM's IP, blanking my talk page,[22] and blanking my user page.[23]
  • [24] Bad mouthing me in talk namespace
  • [25] Shouting at other editors warning him from abuse.

[edit] Second assertion

ILM has breached policy in various occassions, making personal attacks, harrassing, blanketing pages and plageurism.

  • [26] "Not allowing" me to vote in his poll at WT:PCP to decide the colour of infoboxes, etc. Although he was.
  • [27] Filling IfD page with "Speedy Keep" on the IfD for his copyright breach image.
  • [28] Formal complaint against me and making more rules.
  • [29] Using a sockpuppet to vandalise User:A Man In Black's user page
  • Creating 3 sockpuppets, two of which to evade his week ban.
  • Giving me final warnings via his IP [30]
  • Reverting my removal of vandalism to try and back up his case against me presented to Jimbo Wales [31]
  • Reporting me at WP:JIMBO, [32], and later at WP:ANI, [33] earning him a one week block for block evasion. [34]

[edit] Evidence presented by A Man In Black

I'm not planning to get too involved in listing evidence (other users are concentrating on this), but I blocked Cute Minun (talk · contribs · logs · block user · block log), an obvious sock of ILM (down to [35], a copy-paste of ILM's user page). - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 19:55, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

ILM now edits as User:Minun, and the User:Iloveminun account has been blocked indefinitely at his/her request. This isn't a case of abusive use of sockpuppets, of course, but it does need to be noted. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 22:48, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] ILM evades blocks

  1. User:Cute Minun and 81.153.148.8 (talk contribs) are used by Minun to evade his 1 week block by myself for incivility, as established by this post on The administrator's noticeboard

[edit] ILM uses sockpuppets abusively

  1. Chronicled by the evidence of the other three editors above, and the above section.
  2. I've blocked a few more accounts that were CU confirmed. Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Iloveminun. Will (message me!) 21:36, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] ILM is incivil towards HighwayCello

  1. [36] - http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3ALog&type=move&user=Iloveminun&page=.
    • ILM then used {{db-owner}} to get the page deleted.
  2. ILM tries to bar HC from voting on a Wikiproject - [37]
  3. ILM says "[HC] ruins it for everyone on Wikipedia [38]
  4. ILM tries to bring a regular user into this dispute, [39], in which he says:
    1. Everybody hates HC
    2. HC should be banned
    3. vandalised an image.
  5. And of course, I have blocked him for this incident (see above)

[edit] Edvidence presented by Randall Brackett

As an editor that has has previous dealings with Highway on a number of issues, I can confirm this user is anything but engaged in the nature of disruption. I have but one piece of edvidence to provide on this issue, a threat of harm by ILM towards Highway. The initial diff can be seen here. Now this editor is apparently playing us for fools. He claims this is a message taken from his parental advisors yet the communication style and manner of grammer is identical.

Additionally, fellow editors are not taking this seriously: [40] I cannot realistically believe we, wikipedia can permit such abuse to befall our good contributors. This guy is an obvious indefinite block canidate. -Randall Brackett 17:50, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

And it was "...his Mum's e-mail address." [41] This is madness. -Randall Brackett 17:53, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Evidence presented by crazytales56297

Not sure if I'm allowed to present evidence against the case here, but Minun, since my first contact with him, has been a model Wikipedian, improving Pokémon articles etc. I present User:Minun/Good Things to the Arbitrators, a list of good things Minun has dohne. I believe this AbCom case, while not baseless, is discussing past behaviour which Minun does not engage in now, and has not engaged in for some time.
