[edit] Weirdy

Final (0/17/2) ended 03:03, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

Weirdy (talk contribs) – I have been here since May 2005. I would make a good Administrator by editing and fixing up screwed articles. But, that is not the only thing, because, that is every administrators job! I specially will fix up Green Day and Star Wars articles, e.g. SuperShadow or Star Wars: Obi-Wan. Don't just reject me because I like Star Wars or like Punk Rock. I will block unresponsible IP addresses, or, if needed, block user accounts too. I don't just edit those 2 types of articles specially. I will take time to be careful and NOT break any rules of Wikipedia. Weirdy 23:06, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

  1. Oppose Malformed request and too few edits. Naconkantari e|t||c|m 00:58, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
  2. Oppose user has 260 edits according to the broken counter, but for me adding up manually, around 450 edits. Also only 3 months where there is any editing.ßlηguγΣη | Have your say!!! 01:00, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
  3. Oppose Way too few edits. Green Day and Star Wars have plenty of info, to me anyway .May want to pull out now before you face 7 days of insults and total hell. The Republican 01:03, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
  4. Oppose Way under my experience stadards (see counts below). — xaosflux Talk 01:25, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
Make that STRONG even AGF only goes so far, user contributions count and article creation do not match questions below. — xaosflux Talk 01:27, 19 April 2006 (UTC) Going to AGF that nominee is referring to their anon edits as well as their attributed ones. — xaosflux Talk 01:29, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
  5. Oppose - I just don't think this user is ready for sysop yet, please do try again in a bit when you've had more experience -- Tawker 01:26, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
  6. Oppose - Far too little experience, fixing up the articles mentioned above does not require admin responsibilities, and a history of block threats, vandalism and warnings that extend to the current month. Spend some more time editing, get involved with some WikiProjects and learn the ropes some more before considering an RfA. Tijuana Brass 01:30, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
  7. Oppose - Not enough experience yet–both editwise and timewise. Also, I didn't like how this user responded the first bit of the second question–it seemed like that this user was not able to answer the question with full confidence.G.He(Talk!) 02:02, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
  8. Oppose Malformed, time, promoting his RfA as a "vote" on his userpage Admrb♉ltz (tcbpdm) 02:10, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
  9. Per above, suggest withdrawal. NSLE (T+C) at 02:18 UTC (2006-04-19)
  10. Oppose I have a little trouble trusting an ex-vandal with administrative priviledges, but at least some remorse has been felt. Let's see if the edit count goes up in the next 6 months and maybe reconsider. Cheesehead Fan
  11. Oppose. I have respect for Wikipedians who wants to clean up their acts. Take your goodwill and using it to further improve the encyclopedia. I noticed that you are a part of the Star Wars Wikiproject. I suggest getting more involved there; I'm sure that they can use your expertise. Increase your involvement, and I will be happy to reconsider your RfA in the future. (^'-')^ Covington 02:52, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

I hosneslty don't want an ex-vandal to be an admin. Nothing personal (Assume Good Faith), just I have doubts you will not abuse your powers. Just wanted to add comments I forgot to put in my vote. The Republican 01:43, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
A: I would help with blocking and helping out new IP addresses who had their first visit. I won't block them, I meant block irresponsible users/IP's. Luckily, I am an highly active person in Wikipedia. I come here nearly every day for about 2-4 hours. I will also try to support people to create quality articles and encourage them to read the Wikipedia policies so their articles don't slack off and get deleted.
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A: Uh, well, this is a tough question. I am pleased with the article I created, Star Wars: Obi-Wan. That has been my best yet. I have made over 1000 edits (an prediction, seeing the number of edits I have made in my log). But, anyway, I am certainly sure that Star Wars: Obi-Wan is the best article, and, fortunately, does not fail.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A: Well, back when I was a beginner with Wikipedia, I always stuffed up, particularly with uploading images or infoboxes. And, I vandalised LOADS of pages, because I didn't know anything! Now, I am familiar with the Manual of Styles and how to create articles. If you have just begun Wikipedia, go ask an adminisrator, read a Wikipedia rule page or just leave it for another quality user to do.

Some users have caused me stress when I was a beginner, and about 3 or 4 times, I was threatened to be blocked. Especially with images. If I am threatened to be blocked, then, I will be blocked, OK? Sure, I might get carried away sometimes, but, that's natural, isn't it?
