Vote here (contribs) (3/0/0) ending 14:30, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)

TakuyaMurata has been here for almost two years and made over 14,000 edits, and is best known for contriubtions to Japan-related topics. Takuya has been active reverting vandalism and at VfD, and has done considerable categorization work. I am unaware of this user being involved in any conflicts.

This editor has declined the nomination.
My statement is simple. The reasons I declined adminship still stand: (1) no need for admin power. (2) my wish to spend more time outside wikipedia (don't say hopeless!) (3) Some regard me as being controversial and (4) the current standard for adminship is way too high in my opinion. -- Taku 19:42, Nov 16, 2004 (UTC)

Oppose

Neutral

  1. Seems like a fantastic user. But, given that the user has already turned down adminship twice, this RfA seems like a waste of time to me. D. G. 22:50, 15 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Moved my vote from Oppose to Neutral due to criticism. This is what it really is anyway. Frankly, uc, maybe I agree with blankfaze a bit on not flooding with noms. I mean this isn't even one that's likely to fly, so, what's the point? Actually I did look into the user. I'd vote support if they'd be liable to accept. 10:31, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Comments

  • User has twice turned down adminship nominations.
  • Doesn't seem likely that this will be accepted. I don't see why that's a reason to oppose, but I also wonder why TakuyaMurata wasn't asked to see if an adminship would be accepted this time around. Shane King 09:57, Nov 16, 2004 (UTC)
I was unaware of the previous, declined nominations, which AFAIK we did not catalogue anywhere until I started a list of them at the end of Wikipedia:List of administrators. While I do follow RFA regularly, I do not see everything -- particularly declined nominations, which are usually only visible for a day or two -- and I do not remember everything that I see.
