[edit] Zero

Final (4/5/0) ending 11:20, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

Megaman_Zero (talk contribs) – Zero is a fine contributor to the project. Zero particpates in vandal fighting and handles abusive editors well. Zero also has many edits across most namespace areas. This is his third attempt at adminship, the first failing due to being too new, and the second with many stating they found him incivil, which was not my general impression, and in the three months since his last Rfa, I can find no evidence of anything other than useful, encyclopedic contributions. I think he will be a fine admin.--MONGO 03:49, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here: -Accept. I've studied the comments left in my previous Rfa's, and hopefully, have amended them. -ZeroTalk 11:00, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

Support

  1. Support as nominator.--MONGO 11:23, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
  2. Support Solid contributor & vandal fighter. --Srikeit(talk ¦ ) 11:26, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
  3. Strong support over 10,000 edits and not an admin yet !?!?! He obviously has a lot of experience here and would make a great admin. —Mets501talk 11:28, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
  4. Support -- witnessed only valuable contributions. - Longhair 11:28, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
Support per nomination and I see no reason to oppose since the last RfA. --Andy123(talk) 11:32, 10 May 2006 (UTC) Recently blocked for violation. I am shifting to Oppose --Andy123(talk) 11:35, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

Oppose

  1. Oppose. Blocked twice last week, once for 3RR and once for incivility (towards me). Also for an incident where he basically forged an exceptional newcommer award on his user page: [1] and [2]. --Moby 11:30, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
  2. Oppose. Sorry, no. I don't have a good feeling about this candidate. Dr Zak 11:32, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
  3. Oppose, recently blocked. Too soon for an RfA. (changed from support) --Andy123(talk) 11:35, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
  4. Oppose. Two 3RR blocks in the past month makes this poor timing. Sjakkalle (Check!) 11:40, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
  5. Oppose. Speaking to, or about, another editor in that manner is unacceptable, regardless of circumstance. Megaman Zero is a very good editor who seems to let his emotions guide his editing from time to time, I will probably support in the future if this is addressed. Rje 11:57, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
A: - I'm quite enamored about clearing out backlogs. I'm also heavily involved in image work about the wiki and would prefer the tools to take a more active role in thier management. I'd also prefer closing a few afd discussions every now and then. Essentially I'm interested in using the tools to assist the project as best I can.
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A: - I am currrently pursuing my dream of elevating my core articles to GA status, and at least one to FA status. I've created many articles, and as an experienced editor I feel it unacceptable I haven't achieved FA yet.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A: - Not many. A recent conflict occured on Talk:Colonel (Mega Man). Nasty it was, too, abielt it was settled after I inquired many third opinions and provided appropriate sources and counter-rebuttals. I usually support my stance on conflicts with established concensus and wikipedia policy. I always hold an objective view concerning the encyclopedia and don't allow external conflicts to get in the way.
