[edit] Jflash
Final (2/5/0) ended 15:58, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
I hereby withdraw my RfA. I'm not sure what needs to be done to oficially remove it, but I now see that I am too inexpereinced to be considered. I will try again in a few months when I have racked up a few more edits. Thank you.
Jflash (talk • contribs) – I am a responsible, unbiased individual. Although I have had school keeping me from editing more here at Wikipedia, I am on Summer Break now so I have more time. I have extensive expereience with all of the Wikimedia and Wikipedia policies and guidelines, as well as extensive expereince with the MediaWiki software. As I said, I am currently on Summer Break, so I can spend lots of time helping to maintain and improve Wikipedia. I am also unbiased, cool-headed, and responsible. Because of this, I can be trusted to make the right decision whenever necessary. I feel that becoming an admin would help me to learn more about the technology and community that drives all of the Wikimedia projects. Thank you for considering me. I realize that I have not been here long or made many contributions, but I feel that the contributions I have made have helped the community. I am enthusiastic about this community and feel that that enthusiasm can help me perform any tasks to the best of my ability. Jflash 14:55, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Oppose
- Oppose, too new, lack of edits. There is neither a userpage or talk page for this user. --Terence Ong 15:30, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose - You are, obviously, not ready. Keep learning and start contributing. Afonso Silva 15:32, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose per above. --digital_me(t/c) 15:33, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose, per above - your only edits in project space were to this RfA; you have never participated in a deletion debate or a policy discussion here; please note that this is no criticism of the contributions you have made - we have hundreds of thousands of users, but fewer than a thousand active admins. - Oppose - Sorry, but you're too new to support. Perhaps try and get a little bit more experience and come back in a few months. --Scott 15:43, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
- 1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
- A: As I said above, I have expereince with the MediaWiki sodtware. As a rsult, I feel that I could adequately carryout any tasks necessary. However, if I am elected, I anticipate mainly doing routine maitnence, such as delting pages that need to be deleted, helping resolve editing disputes, reverting vandalism, etc. I also plan to be involved with olicy creation and enforcement.
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A: Possibly my favorite article that I have worked on is Cedar Ridge Middle School. Partially because I have close connections there, but mainly because I feel that I was able to put as much information as possible on, while keeping it organized. In short, I feel it was the best-designed page I have made a major edit to.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: I have been lucky to have not had any conflicts in the past. However, I feel that I can and would act responsibly and professionally. I would not lose my temper, and I would attempt to work out the conflict in a civilized manner. I believe in forgiveness, but I also know that there are some people that do occasionally need a firm hand. Therefore, as a sysop, I would let a first-time offender off with a warning and a (very) short account suspension. However, this would not be my only criteria. I would make decisions on a incident-by-incident basis based on the severity of the violation and the number of previous offenses.
