[edit] Ganfon
Final (0/3/0) Ended 02:00, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
Ganfon (talk • contribs) Ganfon 09:45, 30 August 2006 (UTC) Ganfon is very active on Wikipedia and reads on average two to three diffrent articles each day, contributing where he can. He hast started numerous pages and edits many pages for many diffrent reasons, weather it be adding a comma or capitolizing a letter, or changing information he knows to be wrong.
Ganfon is also easy to get along with, if you have a dispute or question or concern, he's always willing to talk with you and do what he can to resolve the situation. Ganfon takes citing sources very seriously, and has commented users on non-cited information quite often. he does this to ensure all information on Wikipedia is a as acurate as it can be.
Ganfon's expertise would lie in many diffrent areas. Some big ones are movies, TV, and entertainment in general. Ganfon has many obsessions that end up making him some what of an expert in those areas.

- Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
- 1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
- A: I'd be more than willng to do as much as I can. I frequently travel to diffrent sites and research my diffrent intrests and many obsessions. I tend to look up information on both of thos ethings, amking me an expert on such items as movies and TV. I'd know when mistakes are made and could edit them quickly. I'd also like to be able to block irresponsible useres and be able to have a little more control over what gets saved onto Wikipedia. I'd also like to help with the copyright issues of photos and the citations of many missing sources.
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A: I've added four articles and I must say I'm proud of them all. They all were missing and I felt they were needed. I'm particularly proud of adding The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (play), because there were many refrences to them, but no articles.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: There are a few users that feel they know everything about the JFK Assassination, without doing any real research of their own. I tried to talk out the issues with them, but they seemed to ignore me. Eventually I gave up fighting. it's moments like these I hope being an administator can help me clean up Wikipedia...even of some irresponsible User behavior.
- Comments
- I feel I'm ready and deserving. I've put alot of time and effort into Wikipedia and have been more or less addicted to it for the past 18 months or so.

- You seem to be doing a great job so far, but I feel you just need some more experience. Try again when you've got around 1000-2000 edits and have a strong knowledge of how things work not only in the article space, but in the Wikipedia space as well. --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 01:49, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose sorry, but with fewer than 250 edits we don't have the evidence to be able to make a fair judgement of your suitability for adminship. That combined with the incorrect RfA (no answers to questions, no nominating statement, no acceptance) mean you aren't ready yet. Good luck though and thanks for your contributions so far, Gwernol 01:59, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose for now. Low number of edits (especially in the Wikipedia namespace) and malfirmed RfA show that candidate still has a lot to learn. Eluchil404 01:56, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
