[edit] Anthony5429
Final (0/3/1) ended 09:08, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Anthony5429 (talk • contribs) – I have been editing WP since February 21, 2005. I started out relatively inactive but picked up speed in time. With just over 1000 edits on over 600 distinct pages of the English WP, I now consider myself a very active editor. I have e-mail enabled and have never been blocked. As you will note from my user page, I spend most of my time on WP contributing to articles I already have knowledge about; fixing formatting, categorization, spelling, and grammar; checking for and removing broken links; voting on articles for deletion; and patrolling RC. I would greatly appreciate admin status. Thank you, --my user page. --Anthony5429 06:02, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

- Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
- 1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog and Category:Administrative backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
- A: I would anticipate helping make reversions to vandal edits. I already patrol RC frequently. With the ability to use the quick rollback tool, reversion would be much easier. I also anticipate helping ban vandal users as per WP:AIV.
- Addendum (07:29, 13 September 2006 (UTC)): I've also been very interested in the AfD process. I often visit the list of articles for deletion and vote accordingly. With admin status, I would be able to help by using the power to delete articles according to the AfD process.

- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A: On my user page, I have listed the articles which I have personally begun. Among these are Warren Barfield, International Lyrics Server, Akira Haraguchi, and No-No Boy. I am particularly pleased with these articles because since creating them, I have seen other users contribute to them. I am very pleased with the sense of community and the feeling that I have helped fill in holes in WP by starting new articles.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: As I recall, I have never been in an editing conflict. However, on one occasion last year, not long after creating my account, I did make an article on a band which was not very well-known. In time, the article was deleted but I gained from the discussion the understanding of exclusionist principles on wikipedia which are of course important in keeping Wikipedia a professional encyclopedia. I always try to keep communication high. I think this is very important in preventing conflicts and building the community.

- No real need for tools. Low edit count. Weak answers to questions imo. I wonder how you'd handle the admin conflicts an admin gets into if you haven't previously dealt with anything. – Chacor 07:07, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose and recommend your withdrawal from the RfA. While you have made some good contributions you haven't really dealt with a lot of things admins should be able to do. Get some more experience and come back when you're more familiar wih all the tasks.--Konstable 07:39, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose. I also recommend withdrawal and submission of a request at WP:ER after a few hundred more edits. I don't see anything objectionable other than the lack of a longer track record and believe I would likely support with another ~1000-1500 edits as long as there were also around 400 WP edits by that point. Good luck. Erechtheus 08:26, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
