[edit] ALK

Final (1/6/0) ended 22:54 2 January 2006 (UTC)

ALK (talk contribs) Although I have only been here for one month, I have been making a lot of edits and want to do more things with more tools for wikipedia. I will be sure to protect all the pages and vandlism that comes up even if I'm not selected but if I am, then I will be extra careful to help all those people who helps me get adminship.

Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here: I'm am running for adminship right now and I am probably on vacation right now. --ALK, 22:10, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

Support

  1. Minor Support I have seen the changes this user has done and they are great but he should really wait a lot longer to become an administrator but I still want to give him/her support to see how well he does Because of how great his pages looked. 1AK 22:04, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
This vote constitutes the above user's first two edits. BD2412 T 22:33, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

Oppose

  1. Oppose. ~40 edits and less than 10 days-worth of editing is far too little to assess suitability to be an admin. You may make a great admin but at this point no-one can tell—I suggest that you try again in a few months. JeremyA 22:30, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
  2. (sigh) You have not "been here for one month" - in fact, less than 10 days. Your contribution history is open for the world to see, you know. BD2412 T
  3. Speedy Oppose 40 edits and 10 days are too little, plus that sockpuppet won't help at all. --Jaranda wat's sup 22:34, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
  4. Oppose. Sorry, my friend, but as it has been pointed out, too little time and contribs to actually evaluate your capacity as a potential admin. Also, should you ever become one, I'd suggest you to be "extra careful to help" the entire the community, not just those who support your candidacy. Try again in a few months. Meanwhile, I think it would be better if a bureaucrat removed this RfA? Regards, -- Phædriel Shoot 22:40, January 2, 2006 (UTC)
  5. Oppose. First-time voter I might be, but I don't think you can be admin yet, considering you have about 40 edits, of which a quarter are your RfA and your userpage. I'd say you need some more experience under your belt. Kusonaga 22:49, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
  6. Oppose Fibbing about the time spent here, using sockpuppets to gain support, and the answer to question 3 show that you are not ready for adminship. Cobra 22:53, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

Comments

  • You have made less than 40 edits. It would be better if you withdraw this and try after a few months. Tintin Talk 22:19, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
  • Did you also mention you were on vacation? Also, you neglected to answer your questions... -MegamanZero|Talk 22:25, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
A. I'm going to be a vandlism cleaner and to find pages that needs to be deleted.
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A. Yes. Mount Fairweather because I have climbed that mountain a least 10 times already.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A. No. All the users have always done edits at different times and if that ever happens, I will revise the edit and change it if it is incorrect.
