68.39.174.238 (talk contribs) – this is a first. A serious admin nomination for an IP adress. This IP has tens of thousands of valuable edits. There are 69 users wanting them to create an account, and would suppport him after just creating an account. I figure, why not try it now. 1. There is no way to guarantee the security of the account (no password). No guarantee the user will even keep the IP address. Would even be possible for people to spoof the IP if they happened to be along the right route that 68.39.174.238 is. This is the very reason my accounts are used. Very bad idea from a technical point of view.--Dacium 12:25, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
  2. As much as I like to, it would be impossible to promote an IP adress. Security issues mainly, and I'm not so sure if the MediaWiki software can make IPs admins. --AAA! (AAAA) 12:33, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
