Wikipedia:Representatives

This proposal was rejected by the community. It has not gained consensus and seems unlikely to do so. Per Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines: "A rejected page is any proposal for which consensus support is not present, regardless of whether there's active discussion or not."

Representatives is an organization of other organizations. One member from each Wikipedian group will come once every four months to discuss issues such as:

  • Vandalism Prevention
  • Moves
  • New Article Ideas
  • Stubs: How to expand them

The first meeting: January 2006.

A Rep. Chair will be elected to head these meetings. He/she shall hold this term for eight-months. You must register by 11:59 UTC, January 8, 2006. The first election for this is planned for January 10, 2006 The current time stands at: March 30, 2007, 12:35 (UTC)

Members of Representatives help organize these events and work together to help a particular article (USA, Canada politics, European Art, Comics, etc.)

Some Wikipedian groups have elections. So we think it is fair to allow all the members of our group vote to endorse particular members of certain things.
