The Republican Socialist Youth Movement (RSYM) (Poblachtach Sóisialach Gluaiseacht na hÓige, PSGnÓ) is the Youth Organization of the Irish Republican Socialist Movement[1][2][3].

[edit] Foundation
Officially formed in County Wicklow, Ireland on 1 October 2005 by socialist and republican youth from throughout Ireland following a two day inaugural Ard Fheis. This new movement declared its intention to work towards national liberation and socialist revolution as the youth wing of the Irish Republican Socialist Movement. The organization sees itself as the successor organisation to the now defunct Patsy O'Hara Youth Movement.

The organization actively campaigns on behalf of Republican prisoners in both prisons in Northern Ireland, mainland Britain and the Irish Republic.
Drugs and alcohol abuse are strictly prohibited within the ranks. Any member found to be involved in such behavior is subject to dismissal.
