OVERVIEW

Eagle Druhan, formerly known as Marlene M. Druhan, is the author of Naked Soul:Astral Travel & Cosmic Relationships (Llewellyn, 1998). Druhan is a multi-media artist known for melding genres. She is a painter, instrumental composer, writer, and poet. Consciousness, healing, human experience, and the quest for transformation through beauty are her major themes.

BIOGRAPHY

Druhan was born in 1969 to visionary parents who exposed her to various faiths and religions, the arts, and alternative medicine. Her childhood in rural Pennsylvania sparked her passion for the natural world and environmental conscience. Druhan's interest in the written word took root at age 11 when she was chosen to write a weekly 4-H column in the local newspaper. Naked Soul, her first book, profiles her out-of-body experiences and offers the reader a glimpse into the inner workings of ordinary reality. The book's primary message suggests that love, as energy rather than emotion, can be a catalyst for positive change. Druhan has forthcoming works in the New Age genre including women's spirituality as well as titles of literary fiction.

PERSONAL LIFE

After an 11-year battle with severe Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Sydrome, in 2006, in effort to help others with the similar conditions, Druhan became a nationally certified therapeutic bodyworker and certified clinical aromatherapist. She strives to meld the creative and healing arts to invite clients to find their own wellspring of transformation.

The death of her mother Winifred in 2005 catalyzed a deep emotional struggle for transition. During a spiritual initiation, the name Eagle was given to her. Druhan decided to use it in private and professional arenas.

She lives in the Northeast, enjoys creating beautiful spaces and organic gourmet meals. Druhan's only philosophy is that "philosophies can change, and it's a sign that we are growing."
