This song was the first one recorded by the Miami Sound Machine and also the first single of them, but they didn't have any success with this song, so fifteen years after Gloria released the song at took it to the Top Ten of the Hot Latin Tracks Chart.
The song it also named "Alive Again" that means "Renacer".
The Spanish Version of "Oye mi Canto (Hear my Voice)" was used as b-side of the single, the cover of the single is unavailable cause it doesn't sold as a commercial single.
