Renée French

Renée French (born 1963) is an American comics writer and illustrator. Her most recent publications have been The Soap Lady (inspired by the display in the Mütter Museum) and The Ticking. She also has a weekly strip in the New York Press.
She also writes children books under the pen name 'Rainy Dohaney.
Glenda, the mascot of the Plan 9 from Bell Labs operating system was drawn by her, and she is married to one of Plan 9's creators, Rob Pike.

In 2006, underground cartoonist and writer Casanova Shamdil announced he is to writing a book in graphic novel format about French's life. A weblog is currently posting the production of the book.
