René de Labarrière (1899-1948) was a French army officer, considered as the first United Nations dead in mission. He was killed in Palestine.

On October 6, 1998 he was honoured by Kofi Annan in the UN's headquarters in New York, receiving the second-from-newest UN medal Dag Hammarskjöld.
