René Viénet
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
René Viénet is a Situationist writer and filmmaker. Viénet used the situationist technique of détournement — the diversion of already existing cultural elements to new subversive purposes. Other filmmakers have used aspects of this technique, but only for purely humorous ends (e.g. Woody Allen’s What’s Up, Tiger Lily?).
