René Rivera (born July 31, 1983 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico) is a catcher for the Seattle Mariners. Rivera was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the second round (49th overall) of the 2001 amateur draft. He made his major league debut September 22, 2004. He resides in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
