On April 5, 2006, Kerrang! magazine released a special CD called Remastered: Metallica's Master of Puppets Revisited. This was in honor of the 20-year anniversary of the release of Master of Puppets by San Franciscan thrash quartet Metallica. This was a historical album in the genre of metal, and the last Metallica album to feature bassist Cliff Burton. This cover album is dedicated to Cliff Burton, as stated in the disc cover.
