The mission of RLG is to place Christian artists into mainstream media and to put a positive spin on modern media.

[edit] History

Acoustic Live Entertainment was founded in early 2001 by Richard Hardin in Nashville as an artist management agency. By fall of 2001, the company had evolved into an independent record label and held the contracts of six artists.

In early 2002, Acoustic Live released their first nationally distributed recording by Old Man Shattered. By mid-summer, the record had become a top selling album in the Christian music market. The first radio single remained in the top 15 of Christian radio for 32 weeks.

In 2003, the company co-labeled with Sony Music Group on several projects and gained great notoriety as an independent record promotion company. The promotion of a number of top rock albums was aided by the team at Acoustic Live.

2004 marked a transition period where Acoustic Live gained equity stakes in several independent labels and an independent music distribution company.

Early 2005, Acoustic Live restructured and re-emerged as Relevant Label Group. A strategic alliance with the Muzic Mafia marked the start of Relevant's jaunt into country music. Towards the end of 2005, through private placement, Relevant gained equity stakes in two magazines and a television production company.
