Release technique (alternative medicine)

for the dance-related practice, see Release technique.

Release Technique is an alternative therapy system developed by physicist Lester Levenson, popularized by Larry Crane and related to "The Sedona Method". Proponents of the system claim that it "frees the subconscious mind from suppressed negativity, limiting thoughts and feelings". It is taught in a course by Larry Crane titled the "Abundance Course." It is claimed that the course "helps a person to let go of any unwanted thought or feeling on the spot, as it is felt, rather than suppressing, expressing, avoiding or distracting oneself from said thought or feeling".[citation needed]

It is also claimed that the technique has been used by nearly 100,000 graduates to "improve health, finances and relationships, as well as reduce stress, improve concentration and accelerate spiritual growth". It is claimed that the technique works by "eliminating unwanted ego tendencies (attachments and aversions)."[citation needed]
