Reinaldo Elias da Costa

Reinaldo Elias da Costa (sometimes misspelled Reinaldo Elias De Costa), usually nicknamed Reinaldo Mineiro in Brazil (born on June 13, 1984 in Itaberí, Minas Gerais) is a Brazilian left-footed football (soccer) player who plays as a center forward. He currently plays for the Queensland Roar in the A-League competition.

Before playing for Queensland Roar, he played for two Brazilian clubs: América Mineiro and Corinthians Alagoano. He has also trialed at Dutch side Feyenoord.

In 2004, he played for América Mineiro youth squad, being the club's top goalscorer, with 18 goals.

Reinaldo Mineiro played for Corinthians Alagoano during the 2005 Copa São Paulo de Juniores, was the club's highlight. He helped the club advance to the third phase of the competition, without losing a single match.

On November 28, 2005, he signed for Queensland Roar, and joined the club on December 10 of that year.

Lawrence Oudendyk, who is Roar chief executive, said about Reinaldo Mineiro: "We have heard a lot of good things about this guy and he looked impressive on the DVDs. We're told he is very talented and he just needs to knuckle down, and focus on his football."[1]
