Reidar Liaklev (July 15, 1917 – March 1, 2006) was a speed skater from Norway who won the gold medal at the 1948 Winter Olympic Games in St. Moritz. Liaklev was a long distance specialist, but still managed to win the European Allround Speed Skating Championships.
Liaklev got a bronze in the junior Norwegian championship in 1939, and like most athletes of his time, his career was interrupted by WW II. His first participation in an international senior championship was in the World Speed Skating Championships in 1947, where he became fourth overall by becoming number three on the 5,000 meters and winning the 10,000 meters event.
In the first Olympic Games after WW II, in St. Moritz, in February 1948, Liaklev won the 5,000 meter event with the time 8:29.4. Two weeks later he won the European Championship in Hamar.
In 1949 he became Norwegian Champion, and in the following year, he got a silver overall in the European Championships in Helsinki, after having won the 10 000 meters.
