Registered Massage Therapist

Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) is a protected title in Canada for individuals who have finished 2-3 years of intensive training, passed the provincial theories and practical examination, and registered with the College of Massage Therapists. They are regulated healthcare professionals, they uphold ethical practice, meet continuing education requirements, and carry minimum liability insurance.
The following terms, titles and the equivalents in any language other than English are protected, and can only be used by registered massage therapists:

- Therapeutic Massage In Canada only three provinces have a College of Massage Therapy: British Columbia, Ontario, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
