Regina Iosifovna Tyshkevich (Russian: Регина Иосифовна Тышкевич) (b. October 30, 1929) is a Belarusian mathematician, professor of the Belarusian State University, expert in graph theory.
Her main scientific interests include decompositions of graphs, intersection graphs, degree sequences, reconstruction conjecture.
In 1998 she was awarded the Belarus State Prize for her book "Lectures in Graph Theory".
Of note is a recent textbook "An Introduction into Mathematics" written together with her two colleagues, which presents mathematics as a wholesome discipline, rather than a loose collection of mathematical subjects suitable for solving some problems, — the latter view is often formed, as observed by Regina Tyshkevich, under the influence of modern ways of teaching mathematics in universities.
Regina Tyshkevich is also known as a direct descendant of the famous Tyszkiewicz magnate family, therefore her colleagues often call her " a countess of graph theory"
