The Regent Theatre is a theatre in Ipswich, England. Since its opening in 1929 it has also been known under two other names, the Gaumont and, for one year only, the Odeon. The theatre holds just over 1700 people making it East Anglia's largest theatre. It is currently run by Ipswich Borough Council, who took it on following controversy over its future in 1989.
