References are needed for the following paragraphs, they appear to refer to incineration not RDF.

"The first full-scale waste-to-energy facility was the Arnold O. Chantland Resource Recovery Plat built in 1975 located in Ames, Iowa. Today there are nearly 100 similar plants in the United States."
