Redux

Redux is an adjective, used postpositively. From Latin, it means “brought back”.
The term has been adopted by film-makers to denote a new interpretation. This trend began with Apocalypse Now: Redux, which Francis Ford Coppola released in 2001, re-editing and extending his original 1979 movie. Pink Floyd The Wall Redux (2002) was a new version of the 1982 Pink Floyd movie, which changed the setting from World War II to the Vietnam War.
John Updike used the title Rabbit Redux for his sequel to Rabbit, Run and headline the return of Harry 'Rabbit' Angstrom.
