[edit] History

The label was first conceived when Toby's friend Brendan Kelly, bassist of the Lawrence Arms, started a sideproject with fellow Chicagoans Dan Andriano of the Alkaline Trio and Tuesday, Lawrence Arms cohort Neil Hennessy and Todd Mohney, formerly of Rise Against. The Falcon took shape and Brendan wanted an unknown label to release the debut EP.

Shortly thereafter, Toby worked with his friends in Enemy You to release their next record (Red Scare 102) after being shelved by Lookout Records.

Since then, Red Scare has released Teenage Bottlerocket's Total (Red Scare 103) and re-issued out-of-print records from The Lillingtons. The Falcon's first full-length Unicornography was released on September 26, 2006.

Upcoming records for the label include a record from Sundowner, Chris McCaughan of The Lawrence Arms solo moniker, and The Copyrights. Both are due out in March. .

Recently Brendan Kelly has taken an interest and editorial control in the workings of the label.
