In 1996 Henry Olmino, Jeronimo Gomez and Matt Crum were all playing under the alias As Friends Rust along with Damien Moyal on vocals. After a six track demo, the band broke up and three of the members joined up to start Red Letter Day. The band recorded a short EP in 1996, and soon after the band broke up. The EP was not released until four years later by Eulogy Recordings. The same three members went on to lay the foundations of The Rocking Horse Winner along with vocalist Jolie Lindholm.
