Red Dawn is an episode from the X-Men animated series. In this episode, the X-Men have to deal with Omega Red in Russia. Guest appearances are made by Darkstar and Colossus.

In Russia, which has only recently become democratic, criminal Russian forces want to resurrect a regime of terror. To induce terror and panic, they awaken Omega Red, the superstrong psychotic mutant, from his cryogenic sleep and release him on their own people.

Jubilee goes to a convenience store which serves mutants. The 'Friends of Humanity' go to the store and threaten Jubilee and the store owner. Colossus comes in and fights the men away. After that, Jubilee thanks him. Colossus tells Jubilee that Russia is in danger and he needs the X-Men. Unfortunately, the heroes are away on another mission. Jubilee goes to Russia with Colossus on her own and leaves the X-Men a note. Wolverine gets to the mansion and gets the note. Angry, he sets out to Russia, himself and is followed by Storm, Rogue and Gambit. Meanwhile, Jubilee and Colossus manage to save Colossus' village as well as his sister Illyana (as her child self) from Omega Red's first attack, but are soon overpowered and require the help of the other X-Men.

Omega Red goes on a rampage, and when the X-Men fight him, he defeats them all. Wolverine is badly injured when Omega Red uses his life-draining power on him and negates his healing factor.

In the end, the X-Men - with the help of Darkstar and Colossus - defeat him with a trick. Instead of fighting him, Storm uses her powers to freeze him. Omega Red falls back into his cryogenic sleep, and Russia is saved.
