Red Bank First Nation
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Red Bank is a Mi'kmaq reservation west of Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada.
[edit] History
Red Bank was home to a group of Mi'Kmaq's for over 3000 years. Evidence was discovered in 1972 by Joepsh Mike Augustine (a.k.a Joe Mike.) He was reading a magazine article about an ancient burial ground in Arizona. Joe Mike recalled a similar mound in Red Bank. The artifacts found at the site proved that this place was inhabited for over 3000 years.[citation needed]
