Trachyphonus erythrocephalus Cabanis, 1878 |
The Red-and-yellow Barbet (Trachyphonus erythrocephalus) is a barbet. Barbets are near passerine birds with a world-wide tropical distribution. They get their name from the bristles which fringe their heavy bills.
This bird is found in eastern Africa, from Sudan in the north to Tanzania in the south.
