Red-Eye (energy drink)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Red Eye is Australia's first home-grown energy drink. It was first made in 1995 with the release of the original 'Red Eye Classic'. A range of 5 more flavours has since followed, each with their own individual tastes and benefits. Red Eye Classic contains 106 mg of caffeine in a 330ml bottle. The same 330ml bottle of Red Eye Classic also contains 100mg of taurine, 20mg of niacin, 2mg of vitamin B6 and 5mg of pantothenic acid. Red Eye Classic contains 14.7g of sugar per 100ml (48.5g in the 330ml bottle).
The additional Red Eye varieties are: Extreme, Platinum, Passion, Gold and Power (which comes in a smaller 250ml can).
Red Eye energy drinks continue to be made in Australia more than 10 years after they were first introduced to Australian stores. The Red Eye catch phrase is Energy Drink with Attitude.
