Talk:Recondita armonia

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

These are not "lyrics"!!! These are just the words sung by Cavaradossi, but not "lyrics" --Al Pereira(talk) 18:35, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

So how about "libretto" instead? Ubernostrum 12:17, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
The libretto has the Illica & Giacosa "lyrics", which are different. This could be said the "text" of the romanza, but who is the author of the division of the verses? --Al Pereira(talk) 12:40, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
If you like "text", go with it. Ubernostrum 13:34, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
Also, whatever ends up being used here should probably also be used on E lucevan le stelle as well. Ubernostrum 13:41, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
Exactly! The original libretto lines of E lucevan le stelle are completely different from the text of the actual romanza! This is very important, because you understand how Puccini worked by deeply modifying his librettos --Al Pereira(talk) 14:26, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
