Recruit

Recruit (from the French recrue, from the verb recroƮtre 'to grow again', i.e. replenish the ranks) can refer to:

  • the procress of regrowth of a forest (e.g. "recruitment of old growth forest")
  • a recently enlisted member of a military or paramilitary corps, still in training (antonym of veteran), as in :
  • by analogy, trainees and other neophytes in various walks of (mainly professional) life and organizations
  • in art, several movies - see IMDB search
  • the Japanese real estate and telecommunications company Recruit
  • recomposition of lung (after distension)
